Arc Welding: Why Makes It a Complex Process

Arc welding is a specific welding process in which electric energy is used to produce heat and the heat then contributes towards joining two distinctive metals. In this process, a welding power supply is used to create an electric arc between an electrode and the material that is used as a base here. To ensure protection for the welding area, one can use some form of shielding gas, slag or vapor. Back in the day, all welding processes were manual in nature but now, many industries carry out fully automated or semi-automatic processes as well.  Arc welding processes can be divided into two different kinds, consumable and non-consumable electrode methods. Shielded metal arc welding or SMAW is one of the most common arc welding methods. In this particular process, the electric arc is supplied between the electrode flux coated metal rod and the work piece. It has often been described as a versatile process that is most suitable for joining both ferrous and non-ferrous materials.  If you ha
